Season’s First Snow

Season’s First Snow, Snow In The Denver Metro Area Expected To Continue Through Saturday. Residents in the Denver metro area awoke to a light dusting of snow on Friday morning--the first of the season.

The National Weather Service says temperatures dipped into 30 degrees Fahrenheit before 9 a.m. and that there's a chance Denver will see a little more rain and snow before noon on Saturday. Little to no snow accumulation however, is expected.

"Anti-icing and de-icing materials have not been applied to the roadways because of the relatively warm and wet conditions - the material would wash away," the city of Denver said in a news release.

Later in the afternoon on Friday the metro area can expect another gust of cold air to bring light snow to the Front Range and eastern plains.

Temperatures are expected to climb back up to the 60's and 70's next week.
