Diane Kruger's mom questioned Joshua Jackson about his mugshot when they met, The first time you meet a girlfriend's parents can be a nerve-racking moment, even if you're famous. That was definitely the case for "Fringe" star Joshua Jackson, upon meeting the mother of his longtime girlfriend, actress Diane Kruger.
During an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," Kruger recalled the first time she took Jackson home to meet her mom. "I'm from a very small village in Germany, so I don't usually bring boys back unless they're somewhat serious," she says. The meeting was going well, with Diane acting as a German-to-English translator, until her mom presented Josh with a folder filled with clippings about him, including his mugshot (pictured above).
Jackson was arrested at a Caroline Hurricanes hockey game after an alleged drunken quarrel with a security guard. He was charged with assault and being intoxicated and disruptive. The charged were dropped and he agreed to alcohol education classes and 24 hours community service.
Diane wasn't amused with her mom, "She thought it would be cute to go, 'So I see you've been arrested in 1997 at the hockey game.' And says, 'Who's fault was it?'" The actress says that of the three days the trip lasted, she didn't speak to her mom for two of them, "It was not good."
It's all in the past though, and the couple has been going strong since 2006. Though there have been rumors that they are close to getting engaged, nothing has materialized yet.
