Possible kidnapping in Forest Lake: Police ask for public's help, Police are asking for the public's help regarding a suspicious incident that happened Sunday evening in Forest Lake, Minn. KARE11 shared the details and video on July 8 of what seems like a possible kidnapping that happened in front of the Wal-Mart store.
The video, shown above, shows a dark Kia parked in front of the Wal-Mart. The trunk opens and a woman runs from the car, then someone from the front seat gets out, chases down the woman, and puts her back in the trunk. The car then left the area at a high rate of speed. Parking lot video caught the incident on tape, and a witness called the police out of concern.
Though many who have watched the video of the possible kidnapping find it suspicious, police want to get to the bottom of the situation. Authorities are looking for information on a dark Kia or similar type of vehicle, believed to be a 2005 to 2012 model. There is no license plate on the front of the car, so authorities believe it will be an out-of-state vehicle.
