Things have gotten so heated, the popular online betting website Paddy Power has even concocted a list of the top 27 actresses likely to snag the sweet-and-innocent role of Anastasia Steele! Former "Gilmore Girls" starlet Alexis Bledel leads the pack by a landslide... her odds to star as Christian Grey's kinky onscreen lover are currently 4/1. Hot on Bledel's trail are four other Hollywood sweethearts - Emilia Clarke, Felicity Jones, Amanda Seyfriend, and Mila Kunis. Of course, 31-year-old Bledel snags the no 1 spot. A spokesman for Paddy Power said, "We've seen a ton of money on Alexis Bledel and its clear punters fancy her for the role... We'll be facing a spanking payout if she's tied down for the role."
Online betting mastermind William Hill gave Bledel even better odds at 2/1. According to Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly, "Alexis has not been averse to flashing a bit of flesh in 'Mad Men' and ultimately, that will be a prerequisite to playing Ms. Steele... She also has the acting clout to star in what will be the biggest book adaptation since the 'Harry Potter' films."
