As the daughter of celebrated beauty Kim Basinger and actor Alec Baldwin, the 17-year-old is taking her own shot at fame with modeling.
This week, Baldwin's career hit an important milestone; the actress landed her first magazine cover with a Hampton's publication called Modern Luxury Beach.
The 6-foot-2-inch model appears in a white swimsuit carrying a surfboard on the cover.
After striking back at critics on Tumblr and Twitter earlier this year, the magazine cover seems to prove Baldwin has what it takes to be a model.
"Of course I get those comments about how I am too fat to model, how I am not model material," the teen posted to her blog at the time. "I understand that I am not a size .008. What I don't understand, is that is the good in commenting on a photo of a 17-year-old girl and calling her fat, ugly etc? Is that helping you in some way?"
In addition to demonstrating her modeling talents, the July 2013 issue of Modern Luxury Beach reveals Baldwin's personal motto as well as thoughts on her modeling career.
"A man is but the product of his thoughts," the model revealed, quoting Mahatma Gandhi's mantra. "What he thinks, he becomes."
Looking ahead at the next five years, Baldwin said she is most excited about "the paths modeling career will take me on."
"I'm excited to work and study acting as well," the model added.
Acting would lead Baldwin in the same footprints as her 55-year-old father, who starred on eight seasons of "30 Rock" among countless other acting roles.
Furthermore, Baldwin's supermodel mother is also an Academy Award winning actress who has appeared in films such as "L.A. Confidential" and "I Dreamed of Africa," among others.
In the meantime, the aspiring model heeds the advice of her mother. Baldwin revealed Basinger's tried-and-true attitude in an interview with Access Hollywood last week.
"My mom taught me to go on and have fun and avoid everyone else's comments and avoid what people are going to say about you," Baldwin told Access Hollywood. "As long as you're the one that's smiling and having a good time then you're the one that's gonna be successful."
Baldwin recently signed with IMG Models and Two Management and revealed that she works out twice a day to maintain top-model form.
