Jennifer Garner plugs Max Mara in first-ever fashion gig, Though Jennifer Garner has dabbled in advertising campaigns before -- she's currently the face of Neutrogena -- the 41-year-old actress has never shilled for a fashion line. But rumors swirled earlier this year that the fresh-faced garner would star in her first-ever ad for Max Mara.
On Monday, People and WWD came out with a first look at Garner's upcoming collaboration with the line, which also marks the first time Max Mara has used a celebrity instead of a model.
“My style is pragmatic,” Garner said in statement. “I like to wear garments that have a real luxurious texture and feel good against the skin.”
"I like the size of the JBag,” she also said of the brown, leather handbag she holds in the ad. “I like that it’s big enough to carry anything you want to stuff in there, but it’s small enough that you won’t lose your keys!”
Max Mara chairman Luigi Maramotti said the line chose to work with Garner because she's a "real woman."
“Not a cover girl, not a starlet, and she has different interests, a family and values. She is a real woman and embodies the Max Mara woman, she perfectly reflects our image," he said.
Garner's ad campaign will appear in September issues of Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle and more.
