KFMA Day in pictures: Here comes the sun

KFMA Day in pictures: Here comes the sun, While the calendar may have said it was a little bit early to bust out the watermelon and sunscreen, after a full day of sizzling action on and off stage the concertgoers at this year’s nuclear KFMA Day were demanding a recount.

Southern Arizona’s annual rite of summer passage at Kino Memorial Stadium lived up to its fiery reputation with a full slate of explosive bands. There was something for everyone, whether you were just there to Fidlar about or seriously trying to get out of a Middle Class Rut.

Andy Biersack and the rest of the Black Veil Brides scorched the crowd with the perfect marriage of glam and bombastic rock. Minus the Bear’s inspired set of indie rock was, ahem, much more than simply bearable. And Dead Sara’s lively turn on stage proved to the crowd that they weren’t ready to be buried just yet.

Bad Religion’s set of their brilliant brand of punk provided the fans with a truly spiritual experience. And then there was that one band that really took the Cake. And one more thing – that last band really killed it…

Here in just a few photos is a taste of this year’s outstanding KFMA Day.
