So, Fox executives made a very shrewd move and booked Jessica for a multiple-episode arc on the show. Though details about her character are still under wraps, Glee producer Ryan Murphy sent a Twitter tease about big things to come.
“With voices like Jessica, Lea, Naya, Melissa, Amber, and Jenna…Streisand episode?” he wrote this week.
And don’t think that Ryan is stopping the stunt casting there. Rumors are also circulating that he’s cast legendary songstress Bette Midler for an undisclosed role.Another Filipino is set to appear on the musical-comedy “Glee.”
According to a report published on TVLine.com, “American Idol” season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez has “closed a deal” to guest star in the hit show.
The report added, however, that there are no details regarding what Jessica’s role would be or when she would appear.
As early as June of this year, less than a month after her stint on “American Idol,” it was already reported that Jessica is in talks to appear on the show.

A few hours after TVLine broke the news, “Glee” executive producer Ryan Murphy tweeted: “Michael Ausiello broke news of Jessica Sanchez on Glee. With voices like Jessica, Lea (Michele), Naya (Rivera), Melissa (Benoist), Amber (Riley), and Jenna (Ushkowitz)...Streisand episode?”

The Filipina-Mexican singer was mum about reports that she’ll appear on “Glee” when she was interviewed by the press in Manila during the “American Idol” concert tour last month.
