Pot Mom New York Released on Bail After Multi-Million Marijuana Drug Charges, The so-called "Pot mom" in New York has been released on bail on Tuesday as she awaits trial on federal drug charges.
Andrea Sanderlin, who is a New York mother of two, is charged with running a multi-million dollar marijuana business.
The 45 year old mother from Scarsdale, New York, has been labeled by the media as "Pot mom" since her arrest about a month ago. She has been released on a $500,000 bond pending her father, stepmother and paternal grandmother of her children signing the bond, according to ABC News.
Part of her bail agreement will see various conditions imposed on Sanderlin to ensure she does not jump bail. She must reside at the Manhattan apartment of her children's grandparents, and she will also be placed under electronic monitoring during her time on bail.
Sanderlin is scheduled to next attend court for an appearance on July 15.
Just on Friday, the "Pot mom" pleaded not guilty to charges of manufacturing and possessing marijuana with intent to distribute.
She also denied maintaining a warehouse where marijuana was grown and processed, according to the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York.
Sanderlin was arrested on May 20 after authorities raided a warehouse in Queens, where they found $3 million worth of pot, including nearly 3,000 marijuana plants.
The mother of two was allegedly running the drug operation under the guise of a registered company called Fantastic Enterprises, which was registered in July 2007, according to officials.
If found guilty, the "Pot mom" could face a minimum of 10 years in prison, and receive anywhere up to $10 million in fines.
