“We’re doing a TV show based on our reality,” LeAnn revealed to People. “We’ll take things out of our lives and elaborate them and make them funny. People have been laughing at us – we want them to laugh with us!” The announcement confirms earlier reports that the two were going to be returning to the small screen together, although initially it was not known if it would be a reality show or not. It sounds like te truth is something in between.
“For some reason, everyone is so interested in our lives but they don’t actually know about them,” LeAnn explains. “What they read is what they see. We want to be able to take control of our lives again so we want to do a show about us, about our lives, but scripted.”
LeAnn and Eddie first met, and fell in love, on the set of Northern Lights over three years ago. Since then, they’ve been dying to work together again. As LeAnn says, ”That’s why we explored the idea of doing the show, to be able to be together.”
LeAnn and Eddie’s relationship has been in the public eye for years, and in their case, it has not been a good thing for the most part. When they met, both LeAnn and Eddie were married to other people, but that didn’t stop them from engaging in a physical relationship. Once their affair was made public, they both split with their spouses and went on to marry in 2011.
In the last several months, LeAnn has been accused of overstepping her boundaries when it comes to being a step mother to Brandi and Eddie’s sons. She even recently bragged that they know her song “Borrowed” (which is about how LeAnn was sleeping with their father while he still belonged to their mother) by heart and sing it often.
Judging by the sound of things, the new currently un-titled series will give LeAnn a chance to show fans her side of things and let them see more of the love she and Eddie share behind close doors. (I assume the show isn’t on Showtime and that description won’t be taken too far.)
