Monique Zimmerman-Stein money for two daughters treatment , After beginning to lose her eyesight in 2007 to Stickler's syndrome, in part due to lack of care and conflict with Health Insurance, Monique has become an advocate for blind and visually impaired citizens in Florida.
While still sighted, she worked closely with Cincinnati Seniors, Clovernook School for the Blind, Cincinnati Association for the Blind, and Girls Can! for her local schools in Cincinnati. A liberal-leaning independent, she is active in local and Florida politics. She is currently working on developing a non-profit organization to increase awareness, services and transportation for the blind and visually impaired, including group counselling for those losing their eyesight.
Wife, mother of 3 beautiful daughters, graduate, Wayne St. University, recently blind and proud of it, Advocate for the Blind, politically active, ethically motivated. Proud to have lived in 2 amazing cities- Detroit and New Orleans, now in beautiful Tampa. Lived in several other cities that paled in comparison.
