Azzam Yacht Is The Largest, Fastest Superyacht In The World
According to CNN, the Azzam yacht is the largest superyacht in the world.
At 590 feet long, the Azzam Yacht is 57 feet longer than the Eclipse, owned by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich. The owner of the Azzam is not known but most are speculating that it belongs to a billionaire from the United Arab Emirates.
MSN reports that the boat is worth a little over $600 million and has been under construction for the last three years. In addition to being the world’s largest superyacht, it is also believed the fastest private yacht on the sea. The Azzam can reportedly cruise at 30 knots, about 34 mph, across the ocean.
There aren’t too many details known about the Azzam but experts predict that the yacht, which surpassed the Eclipse in size, will also surpass the lavishness of Abramovich’s yacht.
Abramovich’s yacht features two helipads, a movie theater, a disco and a mini-submarine that can be deployed to explore the oceans. The superyacht also features a missle defense system and bullet proof glass around the master bedroom.
French interior decorator Christophe Leoni said: “(I am) confident that the final yacht is everything and more the owner expects.”
