Man Shot by Aaron Hernandez Testifies Before Grand Jury, Alexander Bradley, the man who says Aaron Hernandez shot him, has testified Wednesday before a grand jury in Fall River, Massachusetts, as a decision is being made whether to issue a murder indictment against the former New England Patriots tight end.
Hernandez is accused of shooting his friend, Odin Lloyd, whose body was found riddled with bullets June 17, near Hernandez's North Attleboro mansion. Hernandez has pleaded not guilty.
Bradley was ordered by a Superior Court judge to testify before the panel regarding Hernandez's character.Bradley himself filed a lawsuit against Hernandez the week police started investigating him in relation to the Lloyd murder. According to his complaint, Bradley says Hernandez shot him in the eye after an argument as they drove away from Tootsie's, a Miami strip club.
Attorney Robert Pickering, who represented Bradley in court, said they are claiming there is some relevance between the conduct alleged in the civil suit and the conduct in the Lloyd matter.
Bradley had multiple surgeries to reconstruct the area of his face around the eye and will need future procedures on his face and arm, which were hit by the bullet as well.
Bradley's attorney, David Jaroslawicz, who is representing him in the civil case, said Bradley had known Hernandez for several years.
However, the police reportedly said they will not re-open an investigation into Bradley's shooting, saying he didn't want to cooperate with the investigation and didn't want to name the shooter.
Hernandez is in a Bristol County jail after his arrest in the murder case of Odin. L. Lloyd.
