The offer of a free Slurpee is good all day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at participating 7-Eleven stores. You may notice something different this year. Usually 7-Eleven tries to keep this offer with a 7-11 theme, that is why last year the free Slurpee came in a 7.11 oz. cup. This year they've bulked up their freebie. It is a 12 oz. free Slurpee offered today.
That's 42% more free Slurpee, reports Laura Gordon, vice president of marketing and brand innovation for the company. 7-Eleven is estimated to give away about 7 million Slurpees on Thursday at a retail value of $7.6 million. "It helps us reconnect with people who love the Slurpee," Gordon said.
The Slurpee comes in a variety of flavors, one to fit mot everyone's taste, according to "Fox and Friends" live on Thursday morning. This includes some of the major soft drink brands of sodas like Coke and Mountain Dew. They also offer Cherry, Raspberry, Watermelon and the list goes on. .
