6 dead in Chicago shootings, 13 wounded: Who rules Chicago?, Six dead in Chicago shootings and 13 wounded in Chicago include a 22-year-old with a fatal gunshot to the back of his head, a 29-year-old shot in his home, a 17-year-old teen shot in the head, an 18-year-old shot in the head, a 42-year-old shot after a traffic accident, and a 28-year-old man shot on his side, according to a DNAinfo Chicago report on May 25, 2013.

Around 11:45 p.m. on Friday, 22-year-old Tevin Kirkman was found lying with a gunshot wound to the back of his head in the sidewalk outside his family's home in the 1100 block of North Lawndale Avenue in Humboldt Park. He was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital. “According to police, Kirkman had known gang affiliations.”

Around 2 a.m. on Saturday, 29-year-old Gregory Dion was fatally shot in his home in the 1400 block of East 52nd Street. “Dion allegedly buzzed two men into his Hyde Park apartment building and left his front door open for them, Greer said. The men began shooting once they reached the apartment, striking Dion in the chest and back.” According to police, Dion had gang affiliations.

Around 11 p.m. on Friday, 17-year-old Leetema Daniels was found in the 400 block of North Central Avenue by police with a fatal shot to his head. He was declared dead at 1:56 a.m. on Saturday. His 18-year-old friend was shot in the chest and was treated at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, 18-year-old Fearro Denard, was fatally shot in the head during an apparent drive-by shooting in the 7300 block of South Dorchester Avenue where he lived.

Around 2 a.m. on Sunday, 28-year-old Malcolm Dobbey was fatally shot in his side in the 12100 block of South Indiana Avenue in West Pullman.

Around 3:33 a.m. on Sunday, 42-year-old Charles Jones was shot when he and a 44-year-old woman were driving in the 1000 block of North North Branch Street. Around 2:49 a.m., the couple were involved in a traffic accident which resulted in a gunman from another vehicle opening fire. The woman was shot in her back and 42-year-old Charles Jones was shot in the head.

“42-year-old Charles Jones, owner of the South Side gentlemen's club The Factory Chicago, was fatally shot in the head Sunday morning. He and a female victim, who was shot in the back, were reportedly driving in his 2007 Maserati when they were sideswiped by another vehicle and shot while approaching the driver.”

In addition to the six people who died during the Chicago shootings, 13 more people were wounded because of shootings or stabbings in Chicago.

On Friday around 7:30 p.m., a 27-year-old man was shot in his arm in the 1100 block of North Spaulding Avenue in Humboldt Park.

On Friday around 8:45 p.m., a 17-year-old girl was shot in her hip in Greater Grand Crossing. The girl had been walking along the 600 block of East 75th Street with her boyfriend and two other friends when two men approached the couple and opened fire.

On Friday around 10:50 p.m., an 18-year-old was shot in his right leg in in the 7200 block of South Prairie Avenue.

On Saturday around 1:45 a.m., three men were injured when someone in a red van began shooting in a possible drive-by shooting in the 400 block of North Sacramento Boulevard. An 18-year-old was shot in his buttocks, a 21-year-old was shot in his arm, and a 21-year-old was shot in his buttocks and thigh.

On Saturday around 2:55 a.m., a 24-year-old man was shot in his face when someone fired at his vehicle while he was driving in the 2300 block of North Ridgeway Avenue.

On Saturday around 7:36 p.m., a 17-year-old who is believed to have gang affiliations was shot several times in his legs. “The teen, who police said has gang affiliations, was chased on foot by two other teenagers, who fired several rounds.”

On Saturday, shortly after 8 p.m., a 19-year-old man was shot in his right forearm. “The teen was approached by a silver or grey car in the 700 block of West 50th Place. One of the occupants shot the victim, who was treated at Saint Bernard Hospital.”

On Sunday around 4 p.m., a 34-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach during a domestic incident near North and Monitor avenues in Austin.

On Sunday at 5:54 p.m., two men were shot at 117th and Halsted streets.
