Simon cowell climbs trees for exercise, If there was one person's daily routine you could take a nosey into, whose would it be? For us, there's one man who we knew that, if we could follow him around for a day, was bound to have an outright ridiculous ritual. That man is, of course, Olly Murs.
We're kidding obvs, it's Simon Cowell. We didn't think Big Si could surprise us anymore, but having revealed his morning routine in an interview with the US GQ Magazine, it's more mental than we could have ever dreamed of. (CLUE: it involves tree-climbing).
So, what does the unofficial King of the World do when he wakes up in the morning? A good scratch of the balls? Half an hour with Phil and Holly on This Morning?
No, first of all Simon hits the snooze button on his alarm twice before his breakfast is brought to him in bed. He doesn't just make do with a couple of Pop Tarts and a slice of toast, though. Instead, breakfast in bed includes oatmeal, tea, a glass of papaya juice with lime and three smoothies - one spinach, one antioxidant and one seven-fruit super smoothie.
"Tastes delicious, looks great. It looks fantastic when it's brought in in the morning. It's just the best-looking thing in the world. I love to wake up in a good mood and look forward to what's coming. As soon as that tray is put in front of me, I can't wait to have it."
That's the normal bit, btw. It's now when things start to get a little bit mental. Every week, Simon enjoys a cocktail of vitamins, not by swallowing a couple of pills, but through an intravenous DRIP. Madness. It's a 30 minute long session, during which vitamin B12, magnesium and vitamin C are injected via a needle and pumped through his bloodstream. And he sells it well:
"Even when I'm having a viewing session with producers, she just sticks the needle in me and we carry on whatever we are doing. It's an incredibly warm feeling. You feel all the vitamins going through you. It's indescribable but very calming. Everyone I've recommended it to has absolutely loved it. One girl had two orgasms during the treatment."
The thought of Simon ejaculating everywhere while receiving his weekly dose of vitamin C is enough to put us off every trying it - we'll stick to orange juice.
Anyway, surely it can't get any more bizarre than the vitamin drip, eh guys? Guys? I climb trees daily. It's like a ritual."
Oh...
And what's that? You like to spend an hour watching old cartoons like The Flinstones? It just puts me in a good mood. It's less depressing than watching the news."
It's less depressing than watching the news, but also highly alarming behaviour for a 51-year-old man. Not that we don't like it, we love it. Perhaps climbing trees and watching The Flinstones is the key to Simon's success.
The key to Simon's longevity, on the other hand, will be liquid nitrogen. As the icing on the WTF flavoured cake that was this GQ interview, Big Si confessed that he wants his body frozen once he's dead, as "an insurance policy". We always knew he was immortal.
