Singer sues McDonald’s, claiming glass in chicken ruined singing voice, A gospel singer sues McDonald’s after claiming that she found a large piece of glass in her chicken sandwich and can no longer sing as she once could, UPI reported May 21.
The singer apparently has lost her golden voice after dining under the golden arches of McDonald’s.
The singer suing McDonald’s says that she bit into a piece of glass larger than a penny when she was eating her chicken sandwich from the fast-food restaurant.
The singer, Jacqueline Simpson, 52, filed the lawsuit against McDonald’s in Brooklyn Supreme Court this week. Simpson says that she bit into the glass in her chicken sandwich at a Broadway McDonald’s near the World Trade Center in May 2010.
In her lawsuit, the gospel singer says that biting into the glass caused her to lose her voice. She says that she now has a hoarse, “rattly” voice and can no longer sing soprano as she used to — only alto.
In fact, Simpson, a clerk for the state Attorney General’s Office, says she often has to explain to people that she is not a man because her voice has changed so much after the McDonald’s glass experience.
