SNL' cast crisis: Hader, Meyers, and other possible exits dwindle cast down, The announcement of “Saturday Night Live” veteran members Bill Hader and Seth Meyers exiting the show has left "SNL" in a bit of a casting crisis, according to The Inquisitr today.
Saturday Night Live", NBC’s legendary award-winning late-night comedy showcase, also lost another veteran, Kristin Wiig last year. Not only was that a blow to the show, but now there have been reports circulating that Jason Sudeikis and Fred Armisen will be exiting as well, leaving "SNL" in even more of a cast crisis nightmare.
It seems that there are a lot of holes to fill when the show returns for 2013-14. Many new recruits are bound to be cast in the coming season. However, let us not forget that Wiig, Hader, Meyers, etc. were all newbies to the show at one time as well.
It is nothing new that “SNL” has dealt with marked cast turnovers before. The Inquisitr reports that the massive turnover could actually turn out to be a good thing. These exits now leave more room for other creative personalities and clear the way for future expansion.
Many existing “SNL” members have shined through this season, and these major departures will possibly give them their time to shine even brighter.
