Elizabeth ann jones rihanna, Today both of the off-again lovers slapped our favorite internet upside its head with rants about journalists they feel have wronged them!
Whereas Chris Brown defended himself against allegations of a recent hit and run, Rihanna was pissed off because of a recent online profile that referred to her as a "toxic role model" and "Pop's poisonous princess"!!!
Ouch!!
The article had some harsh words to be sure, but Ri's Instagram response was way harsher! She posted an unflattering pic of the article's author Elizabeth Ann Jones and included this caption:
"LOL!!!! My money got a bad habit of pissing people off!! If you sincerely wanna help little girls more than their own parents do, here's a toxic tip: don't be amateur with your articles, you sound bitter! What's all this about hair and nails and costumes and tattoos?? ….
That shit ain't clever!!! That shit ain't journalism! That's a sad sloppy menopausal mess!!! Nobody over here acts like they're perfect! I don't pretend that I'm like you, i just live… My life!! And I don't know why y'all still act so surprised by any of it!!
"Role Model" is not a position or title that I have ever campaigned for, so chill wit dat! I got my own fucked up shit to work on, I'll never portray that as perfect, but for right now it's ME!! Call it what ya want!! Toxic was cute, Poisonous Pop Princess had a nice ring to it, just a lil wordy!
And P.S. my first American Vogue cover was in 2011…APRIL!!! #ElizabethAnnJones"
Oh, SNAP!!
While we stand by RiRi's right to speak her mind and defend herself from nasty written allegations, we don't think she can safely hide behind the "I never asked to be a role model" defense.
Like it or not, you are a role model! The anti role model role model, in fact!
Eight million people follow you on Instagram, 30 mil on Twitter, and many, many more buy your albums!
Your actions and words are informing a generation! Just make sure you keep that in mind!!
