MLB suspension rumors: A-Rod, Braun, more could be out due to drug trouble, The MLB suspension rumors that first surfaced months ago are now coming back with a vengeance, and it could cause a number of big names to hit the bench. UPI.com reported on July 10, 2013, that Major League Baseball is on the verge of handing out rather lengthy suspensions to players such as Milwaukee's Ryan Braun, New York's Alex Rodriguez, and close to 20 more.
Some of these suspensions, especially for A-Rod and Braun, could reach up to 100 games.
Braun still refuses to answer any questions regarding the situation. This is considering he says he first answered questions about the allegations months ago and his responses have not changed.
Braun answered then about his connections to the Miami clinic called Biogensis of America and Tony Bosch. This is the clinic that the investigation is centered around in the banned substance scandal.
Rodriguez is having a meeting with MLB on Friday, like Braun recently did, and is expected to refuse to answer questions as well. 10 other players linked to Bosch have reportedly already met with MLB brass.
The MLB suspension rumors are in regard to accusations that both Braun and Rodriguez committed a number of offenses by accepting banned substances and lying about it. The substances were said to have come from Bosch.
Some of the other players involved in the MLB suspension rumors include:
Cesar Puello
Nelson Cruz
Melky Cabrera
Bartolo Colon
Everth Cabrera
Jordan Norberto
Fernando Martinez
