Burger king getaway car

Burger king getaway car, Two men held up a Burger King at gunpoint only to find their getaway car missing when they got done robbing the joint.

Two gunmen who tried to rip off a Burger King were busted when a sneaky worker moved their getaway car during the raid, police said.

Jeremy Lovitt, 23, and Gabriel Gonzales, 19, were allegedly so focused on holding up the Stockton, Calif., fast food restaurant that they failed to notice their vehicle going AWOL.

Cops claim the dim duo left the engine running as they went in — guns blazing — to demand cash from the eatery on Thursday.

But as staff filled up their bags with notes, one brave worker sneaked out to drive their vehicle around the block.

So when the pair came to make their escape, they found their wagon was missing — and they had to run off on foot.
Police soon tracked them down and the two were arrested.

"The quick action from this employee did allow our officers to get on scene and arrest the suspects," Stockton PD's Joe Silva told CBS Sacramento.

The BK worker's name has not been revealed but his efforts did ensure the recovery of all the stolen cash, added Silva.

Lovitt and Gonzales were booked into the San Joaquin County Jail, reports FOX 40.
