Seth Meyers and Girlfriend Alexi Ashe are Engaged, It’s been a big year for Seth Meyers. First, the “Saturday Night Live” star, 39, was announced as Jimmy Fallon’s replacement on “Late Night,” and now he’s officially engaged to longtime flame Alexi Ashe, a rep for Meyers confirmed to ABC News.
The big move to talk show host was announced in May after Fallon revealed he’d be taking over for Jay Leno on “The Tonight Show” in 2014.
After manning the “Weekend Update” desk for more than six seasons, a role that Fallon also held from 2000 to 2004, the move to bona fide host should be a smooth one for Meyers.
I hope I can do it justice,” Meyers said in a statement in May. Ashe, a human right lawyer, and the “SNL” writer met years ago at a wedding and have been dating ever since. Meyers also has an animated show for adults about superheroes, “The Awesomes,” set to premiere in August on Hulu.
