Teen Choice nominees 2013: 'TVD,' 'Revenge,' and 'Nikita' lead first wave in TV, It's time for summer, and that means it's once again time for the Teen Choice Awards. On Wednesday, May 22, FOX announced the first wave of nominations, and also starting now, fans ages 13-19 can begin voting.
The Teen Choice Awards will be airing live Sunday, August 11 at 8 p.m., with the host(s), performs, presenters, and more nominees scheduled to be announced soon. Leading the pack with nominations are "Revenge" (four), "The Vampire Diaries" (five), and "Nikita" (four), with "Pretty Little Liars," "Switched at Birth," "Arrow," "Supernatural," "Elementary," "Chicago Fire," "The Big Bang Theory," "Glee," and "New Girl," all with three.
"Supernatural" (Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles) and "The Vampire Diaries" (Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley) are dominating the Choice TV Actor: Fantasy/Sci-Fi category, but with "Arrow" quite the hit this season, we wouldn't be surprised to see Stephen Amell win or at least be a strong contender. Meanwhile, Joshua Bowman and Nick Wechsler aren't just competitors in Emily's love life on "Revenge," they're also up against one another for Choice TV Actor: Drama. And in the Reality TV Competition Show category, we have singing competitions "American Idol," "The Voice," and "The X Factor" going up against one another.
