George Zimmerman trial: Watch live as Trayvon Martin’s mother, brother testify, On July 5, 2013, the state of Florida called Trayvon Martin’s mother and brother to the witness stand where they offered testimony in the case against George Zimmerman.
Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder for the Feb 26, 2012, shooting death of unarmed, teenager Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman faces life in prison if convicted. You may watch the Zimmerman trial streaming live, online here.
Court began early and Trayvon Martin’s mother Sybrina Fulton was called to the stand where she testified that the voice heard on 911 tapes screaming for help was that of her son. Also called to testify was Trayvon Martin’s brother Jahvaris Fulton. Fulton is 22-years-old and attends Florida International University. Defense attorney Mark O’Mara immediately tried to have Jahvaris Fulton’s testimony impeached to no avail.
Jahvaris Fulton testified that when he first heard the 911 tapes, he thought it was his brother but wasn’t certain. It wasn’t until he listened to the tape again that he came to the conclusion that it was Trayvon yelling for help.
