3 tickets $50M, Eight days after a Monmouth County ticket won half of a huge Mega Millions jackpot, a ticket sold in Delaware has grabbed a third of the latest Powerball jackpot.
Saturday's jackpot: $50 million for the annuity, about $31 million for the cash.
Louisiana and Florida, lucky again, also sold tickets that matched all the numbers: 2, 6, 19, 21 and 27, with a Powerball of 25. Because of the holiday, exactly where the tickets were sold might not be announced until Tuesday.
The jackpot rebooted to $40 million for Wednesday's drawing.
The previous Saturday, a Florida ticket, sold at a Publix supermarket north of Tampa, won a record Powerball jackpot, worth 590.5 million for the annuity, $370.9 million for the cash.
It was Florida's seventh share of a jackpot since joining Powerball in 2009.
On Thursday, Giuseppe "Joe" Garofalo claimed half the cash - about $73.3 million - from the May 17 Mega Millions drawing. A Farmville, Va., ticket also hit that jackpot, advertised as having a total annuity value of $198.
