Mayor crack house, The house where Toronto Mayor Rob Ford was photographed with alleged drug dealers was identified in several reports–weeks after allegations that the mayor was videotaped smoking crack.
Gawker.com reported that Ford frequented the 15 Windsor Road in North Etobicoke house, which neighbors said was “a crack house, essentially.”
One of the men in the photo with Ford were shot and killed in a gang-style shooting, the website said. The man, Anthony Smith, 21, was shot and killed in downtown Toronto.
The Toronto Star also reported that the Etobicoke home is “notorious for drug problems.”
A Star reporter claimed he saw a video, which has not been released to the public, showing Ford smoking crack cocaine nearly three weeks ago. Ford has categorically denied the claims.
“I do not use crack cocaine, nor am I an addict of crack cocaine,” he said, according to the Globe and Mail.
Gawker, however, has reported that the video might have disappeared. The website tried to raise $200,000 to acquire the video from a source but it never surfaced.
Unnamed sources told the website that Ford goes on crack binges and has been smoking for years.
Police said they responded to an assault at the 15 Windsor home recently. “We did respond to an assault in progress call on May 21 around 11 p.m.,” Const. Wendy Drummond told Canada.com on Thursday.
The site reported that a male suspect went into the home and attacked two people before he left on foot. The victims were taken to the hospital with injuries.
Regarding the photo with Ford and the three men, his lawyer said that the mayor has had his photo taken with numerous people every day.
“Say somebody says ‘here, take a picture’ and it’s in front of a certain location. You have no idea that location may be involved in something illegal or improper, allegedly, that type of thing,” attorney Dennis Morris told the Globe and Mail. “You as an innocent party have a photo taken. So where does that put you? It puts you as an innocent party.”
