Tim duncan wife, San Antonio Spurs All-Star forward Tim Duncan is in the middle of a championship run and is dealing with some off the court drama as well.
The likely future NBA Hall-of-Fame player known as the "Big Fundamental" is currently resting up with his Spurs teammates to face either the Indiana Pacers or Miami Heat in the 2012-2013 NBA Championship.
At the same time, Duncan is going through a divorce with his wife Amy Duncan. According to the Associated Press, Spurs spokesman Tom James confirmed recently that Duncan's wife Amy has filed for divorce.
The San Antonio Express-News obtained court documents showing that divorce papers were filed over two months ago.
However, it's apparently not because of the NBA player's cheating ways, but rather it may have to deal with Amy cheating. San Antonio Express-News columnist Buck Harvey reports that Duncan was so concerned that his wife was cheating on him that he hired a private investigator to follow her.
Duncan was reportedly going to file for divorce himself, but Amy beat him to the punch. The timing of his wife's decision to file for divorce allegedly surprised the NBA star, as he was in the middle of an NBA season. Duncan has requested that the divorce proceedings be delayed until after the season is over.
Despite the off the court turmoil, Duncan has played some of his best basketball this season at the age of 37. Duncan is said to have a prenuptial agreement with his wife.
Tim and Amy originally met while both attending Wake Forest University where he played basketball and she was a cheerleader. They have been married for about 12 years and have two children together.
