Party bus crash, A party bus crash happened when a couple's car collided with the larger vehicle. The accident, which killed the woman in the automobile, took place on California Highway 101 at 2 a.m. in Burlingame on May 26, according to the Associated Press via Yahoo! News.
Although the dead passenger has not been identified by name, the car, a Honda coupe, was said to be helmed by her husband, Paul Padilla.
The 43-year-old from Oakland was heading south in the San Francisco Bay Area when his vehicle seemed to become out of his control. The final resting place for the car ended up in the opposite direction of where it was headed.
That's when the party bus crash happened.
The bus, which was carrying 18 passengers, headed straight into the Honda. After that, Padilla was rushed to the hospital where he remains in critical condition. His wife was proclaimed dead. She had not reportedly been wearing a seat belt.
So what caused this head-on collision?
One possibility is that the 36-year-old woman that died and her spouse may have been drinking before the party bus crash. However, this explanation is not for certain as no formal test has been conducted on the driver who is still alive.
And so, as Memorial Day weekend rolls along, a party bus crash leaves one dead and nine injured in a California accident on the crowded interstate. Drive safely!
