Bill Hader disses Bieber, We know it is au courant these days for major celebrities to diss Justin Bieber, and now that Bill Hader has announced he's leaving the line-up on NBC's "Saturday Night Live," he apparently feels free to join their ranks.
In a stopover on Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio show on Wednesday, Hader spent some time talking about some of the hosts and may have inadvertently started a Justin war, praising Justin Timberlake while dissing Justin Bieber.
It all started, OMG at Yahoo reported May 24, when Stern said he was "shocked" at how well Justin Timberlake did as a guest host on the long-running sketch comedy.
Hader quickly agreed. "He's great. Also, the guy doesn't show up with anybody. It's just him."
Timberlake recently won Entertainment Weekly's "Saturday Night Live's Best Host" poll, knocking off such notables as Ben Affleck, Martin Short, and Seth MacFarlane. It should be noted that a respectable second place showing was made by Melissa McCarthy. Timberlake has hosted "Saturday Night Live" five times thus far.
But Bill Hader was not as impressed with the other, younger Justin. He didn't outright slam the Biebs but his disses were there in the references to Bieber's ridiculous show of star power - his entourage.
"Justin Bieber showed up with like 20 guys," Hader recalled. The entourage was everywhere, even in the way when the cast was doing their costume changes and hurrying about the sets. "He had a guy holding a slice of pizza. A guy holding a Diet Coke. You're trying to fight through all these people to get dressed."
High maintenance? Or over-inflated sense of self-worth?
Several stars have recently made disrespectful digs at Bieber, who has also found himself in the middle of a media firestorm of negative publicity, from abandoning his pet monkey in Germany to allegedly making every guest at his home (including party-goers) sign a nondisclosure waiver or face a $5 million lawsuit.
Taylor Swift was caught on camera sticking out her tongue in the traditional gagging maneuver relegated to show distaste when she glanced over (while attending the Billboard Music Awards) and saw her girl pal, Selena Gomez, and Bieber kissing. But she wasn't done with the disses. Later, when asked what she thought of Bieber winning the Billboard Milestone Award, Swift's eyes widened, then simply ignored the question and asked for another.
In a recent interview in London, rocker Jon Bon Jovi, known for his hard work ethic, slammed Bieber for disrespecting his fans when he made them wait 80 minutes for a concert. In fact, Bon Jovi said that every generation had people like the Biebs and said that if he continued with such behavior, he ran the risk of being an "a**hole."
And now Bill Hader disses Justin Bieber, making the "As Long As You Love Me" singer look like a walking definition of self-glorification.
All inside of a week...
You know your image needs a makeover when PETA is the only entity finding you praiseworthy.
